Since you have made it this far, you can call me Libby. I'm the owner and lead photographer of Elizabeth Janel Photography. Taking photos has been a passion of mine for a really long time and I am so glad I am able to turn this passion into a full blown business.
If you want a photographer that doubles as a makeup artist, best friend, tissue holder, and hype woman then I'm the one for you. I'm there to take beautiful images but also help you along the way, with anything and everything. So what do you say... Should we do this thing or what?!
I have worked in the wedding industry for a few years now after starting in event coordination. I had an internship with Willow On Grand in 2021, and helped out with setting up, tearing down, having meetings, and being there on wedding day to help out in any way I could. That's when I knew that I fell in LOVE with the wedding industry. I continued to dabble in event coordination until 2023 when I started my photography business and never looked back. Being creative is such a passion of mine, and I love getting creative shots with unique angles. When I'm not taking pictures, I'm still being creative wether that's making my own website (hi, i'm doing that right now) or scrapbooking.
Although my official business didn't start until 2023, I practically came out of the womb with a camera and a paint brush. My entire life has been dedicated to being creative from designing my high school graduation program to photographing hundreds of couples on their wedding day.
Aside from taking photos, i'm a busy bee. I have one semester left at Wartburg College where I am getting a B.A in Psychology and Public Relations. I'm also a college athlete, as I am on the clay target shooting team. In my freshman year, we won a national title, and I won the female individual national title. If I am not (skeet) shooting or (camera) shooting, you can find me hanging out with my amazing friends, playing video games, or getting coffee (because yes, I am addicted to caffeine). If you want to get to know me more visit my TikTok @Libbyfaustt where I post all about my crazy life.
As a photographer who loves mixing luxury with intimacy, my creative process is all about capturing those sweet, genuine moments in spaces that feel as special as the people in them! I start by getting to know my subjects, making sure they feel super comfy and ready to share those little, real moments. I love finding spots that have a touch of elegance—like a cozy, chic home or a fancy café—where I can snap shots that feel both relaxed and a little bit luxurious. When editing, I focus on making the photos feel warm and emotional, with just the right balance of realness and beauty. My goal? To tell stories that feel personal, heartfelt, and just a little bit fancy!
